About maps of health needs at the European Health Forum in Gastein

The Ministry of Health was invited to attend the European Health Forum in Gastein, Austria (3-5 October of this year), where it represented the principles of the map of health needs project, examples of the maps published thus far, and ways to apply them in practice.

The European Health Forum is among the most important events in scope of health policy in Europe. It assembles the leaders and experts representing all stakeholders in the health care system from throughout all of Europe: representatives of the public and private sectors, health care organisations, and researchers and scientists. Like in previous years, this edition was attended by over 500 people.

Presentation of the maps was one of the main topics concerning development of the health policy discussed during this year’s Forum concerning application of big data in health care and required cooperation in this scope of the numerous entities responsible for collecting and processing data.

The project: Maps of Health Needs – System and Implementation Analysis Database is co-financed by the European Union from the resources of the European Social Fund in scope of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development. The project is being carried out by the Department of Analyses and Strategies of the Ministry of Health.
